Update on Parkland Community Health Plan (PCHP) coverage
Parkland Community Health Plan (PCHP) has terminated its agreement with Children’s Health effective June 1, 2026, for STAR and CHIP members.
Families impacted by this change have options, including selecting a plan that continues to be in network with Children’s Health.
What this means for you
If your child is currently enrolled in a PCHP STAR or CHIP plan, Children’s Health will be considered out of network starting June 1, 2026.
Care before June 1, 2026, is not affected. Any completed or scheduled visits before this date will remain covered under your current plan.
Families who wish to continue care at Children’s Health have options, including changing to another STAR or CHIP plan that remains in network or exploring an exception when appropriate.
In-network Medicaid plans with Children’s Health
Children’s Health continues to participate with several Medicaid managed care plans available in North Texas. Depending on availability in your area, switching plans may allow your child to continue receiving care with the same Children’s Health providers.
A full list of health plans accepted by Children’s Health is available at childrens.com/insurance.
