Oncology camps, retreats and vacations
When a child with cancer is in treatment it is very difficult to get away for family time. Camps and retreats that cater to children with cancer and their families may provide the only opportunity for time away from the treatment center. The Oncology Family Advisory Council has compiled a listing of these options.
Each camp has different eligibility requirements so check the website; you can also discuss these options with your healthcare team. Remember, if you are in active therapy any trips/travel should be discussed with your provider.
